Privacy

Privacy
In short: no account needed. OVnow doesn't want to know who you are.
What the app doesn't do
- You don't need an account. There is no sign-in.
- The app currently contains no advertising or tracking code from anyone else.
- Your data is never sold or shared for marketing.
Your location
If you allow it, OVnow uses your location to show nearby stops, work out your walking time and plan routes from where you are. To do that, the app sends your position to the OVnow server. For a journey plan, your start and end points also go to Transitous, the open journey planner OVnow uses. The OVnow server doesn't store these requests and keeps no log of who asks what.
What stays on your iPhone
Your favourites, home and work addresses, daily routes, planned journeys and settings are stored on your iPhone. With iCloud switched on in OVnow's settings, they sync between your devices through your own iCloud account. Only you can access that, not FREYcreates.
Notifications and calendar
Reminders for your journeys are created on your iPhone itself. When you add a journey to your calendar, OVnow writes only that one event. The app can't read your calendar.
Maps and addresses
The map and address search come from Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy.
This website
The site counts visits with GoatCounter: no cookies, and no following you across other sites. The typefaces are hosted on the site itself. The live departures on the site come from the OVnow server.
